Description

(Condition: inset copper not sitting flush, some marks on wooden platter – all as pictured)

This wooden platter, featuring an inset enamelled copper design, presents a striking combination of natural wood and vibrant enamel. Measuring 30cm in diameter, the piece serves as both a functional and decorative item for the home. The copper inset, which showcases a detailed enamel design, contrasts beautifully with the rich, warm tones of the wood, adding an elegant touch to any setting. Though the inset does not sit completely flush with the wood, this subtle imperfection does not detract from the overall appeal of the piece, offering character and unique charm.

The wooden surface of the platter shows slight marking, consistent with age and use, and as shown in the photos. These minor imperfections contribute to the authenticity of the item, emphasizing its handmade nature and history. Despite these details, the platter remains highly functional and visually engaging, perfect for serving food or as a centerpiece in a more decorative setting. Its versatility allows it to blend seamlessly into various interior styles, from rustic to contemporary.

Enamelled copper, known for its durability and aesthetic appeal, adds a layer of refinement to this wooden platter. The contrasting materials—wood and copper—make this piece particularly interesting for collectors of both woodwork and metalwork. While it may show slight signs of wear, these only enhance the character of the item, making it a truly unique piece for anyone who appreciates craftsmanship and the beauty of combining different materials.
